We are one of the most youthful and educated cities in the world, with a great arts scene that is not hindered by the past. The art here is much more likely to be something that is about new creation, as opposed to something that was created before. We have a bit of irreverence for history. So as much as the Western heritage is so ingrained here, there’s also a whole amount of work that we ignore. We just forge ahead.

Hello Mike, I have been
Hello Mike,
I have been following your posts and this one is so true. As a fellow artist and Business owner I see the ever whelming desire for more arts in our fair city. I have had a vision to creat the "ARTHOUSE" for yrs. I am reaching out to you at this time beacuse I see such a vision in the east village. Particularily in the Siminon's building. Yesturday they released a press release looking for ideas. Such a beautiful building has so much potencial for holding a truely uniquely artistic hub. I already have a team of well astablished artistic business. Everything from Acting Schools. Film, Theater based businesses to galleries to singer songwritter stages. BUT we need more. We need a bigger team to make this happen. Can You Help? We are putting a proposal together for the space (deadline being June 30th)but would love to have more like minded individuals join the team.
